In The Community

Optimum Group Partnership (OGP) is a company which promotes corporate social responsibility at every level in the organization and has introduced practices that endeavour to achieve integration with the community across all of its group businesses.

 

By way of example, OGP is a proud sponsor, supporter and benefactor to the More Than Us Foundation. OGP partners with this charity to provide support to those in need in local communities, particularly schools, hospitals and environmental projects. The focus of the work is currently Kenya whilst the charity itself is headquartered in the United Kingdom. We have had a real impact on the lives of disadvantaged children and all monies raised go directly to the needy. The gifts that the company, its employees and partners pledge, result in a tangible difference. Over time we intend to extend this work into all of the countries where our employees originate from.

During the Christmas period of 2016, the OGP Group businesses which comprises Optimum Security (UK), Opticom, Optiwatch and Optimum Security Supplies visited the Great Mission Children’s Home in Nairobi for the Beyond Ourselves Foundation. There is estimated to be over 250,000 street children across the country and we encourage you to assist us by pledging your support and sponsoring a child.

In addition to supporting nominated charities, we constantly seek ways to make the world a better place. We can achieve an impact through various means including:

  • Actively encouraging our employees to make their own meaningful contributions to their communities and causes through fundraising (we regularly sponsor them in this regard).
  • Setting up workplace giving programs in which, with their agreement small deductions can be made directly from our employees pay to the causes they care about.
  • Committing a proportion of the revenue we receive from every product / service we sell to a charitable cause.
  • Soliciting contributions from our clients and suppliers for a giving program.


Driving our own fundraising allows us to maintain a level of control in our programs and establish the precise objectives and goals we wish to achieve. Supporting causes is also a teambuilding exercise and is in keeping with our company culture of sustainability.

In a broader sense, OGP operates an internationally recognized environmental management system ISO 14001, which is audited regularly to ensure the highest standards relating to recycling, lifecycle analysis and general improvement in our environmental performance is maintained. Through efficient use of resources and reduction of waste, we also gain a competitive advantage and the trust of our stakeholders.
